"The Pine Cone" is the name I selected for a record of my journey into retirement, scheduled to begin July 1, following thirty-four + years as an attorney for an insurance company.
The title comes from the newsletter of the same name used by the conservationist Aldo Leopold (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aldo_Leopold) to promote the creation of Federal Wildlife Refuges in the early 1920s. The title seems appropriate as my wife and I own an 80 acre pine tree farm in north central Louisiana that has been in our family since 1916.
